Events

Initiations- A great event that every new student should participate in. Mainly it is ment for Turibas freshman’s, but the International or Erasmus students are also welcomed to participate and experience the fun of being together with everyone who is new to Turiba, just like you. This usually doesn’t take too much time out of your day, but you get to do a lot fun/ funny tasks.

Welcome party – It’s an event, that is specially made for the new International and ERASMUS students, who will be joining Turiba. The idea of the event is to inform foreign students about the life in Latvia, and let them introduce their own countries. Also we get to know each other better- make new friends from all around the world.

Skate into the session – Ever had the chance to be on a real ice, with real ice-skates? If you haven’t – now is your chance, because we, BATSP (Student council), have taken care of everything. All of Turiba students can receive a free of charge ticket for the event. A lot of skating with your friends, participating in fun activities and of course something hot to keep you warm is available in this amazing event.

Christmas ball – The year’s most amazing event, in which thousands of Turiba students take part of. Great decorations, dancing and singing, taking part in fun activities, it’s the one event that you shouldn’t miss by any means. Some of the biggest highlights of the show from previous years – King and Queen! and our newest highlight- Dance with the professor!

Goodbye party – The name speaks for itself – it’s the event where we part our ways – we had fun, you had fun, so we should have fun one last time!

Movie night – Want to know more about Latvian movies? Want to show us some of your own? What are you waiting for, we have cookies! A fun evening to spend together and just relax from all of your studies.

International evening(s) – An event where you, the International and ERASMUS students, will tell us about your counties in general – traditions, food, national dances etc. Don’t worry, as it might sound too formal, it’s actually pretty fun to be in, as we have some surprises up our sleeves.

Swim into the session – The event usually takes place in Baltic’s largest water park – “Līvu akvaparks”, with the Europe’s third largest whirlpool attractions. This event takes place on the second semester, so don’t forget to bring your swimsuits with you. You can expect relaxation, different kind of performances, a lot of activities etc from this event.
